D Segment Car Comparison In Malaysia

Before we start, lets me introduce what is D-segment car? D-segment car is a large family car or compact executive car. Normally, D-segment cars is start from 2.0 liter engine capacity and above. In Malaysia, we have many D-segment cars on road like Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Nissan Teana, Proton Perdana, BMW 3/5 series, Merc E Class, and much more. It just a few names mentioned because in Malaysia market, customers have many choices of D-segment cars from Japanese,Continental and now rising on attention, K-Pop car..(Korean)..

While I searching on Youtube, I found a interesting video from Paultan channel (Driven). FYI, Paultan is a motoring journalist based in Malaysia and he is very best known for his website, http://paultan.org/.

The video is about Toyota Camry 2.5 vs Honda Accord 2.4 vs Mazda6 2.5. As we know, Toyota Camry and Honda Accord are very famous in D-Segment in Malaysia. But I don't know why Nissan Teana is not listed in this comparison. But upcoming new Nissan Teana, at http://paultan.org/2014/05/16/2014-nissan-teana-l33-display-malls/...

Toyota Camry and Honda Accord are no need to introduce more.These models are well known among Malaysian. But new comes in this competition, Mazda6. Can Mazda6 can compete with "otai" Camry & Accord?? Lets see the video, reviewed by Driven Team...

Honda Motor Co. Ltd. is a multinational corporation for Japanese primarily known as a

manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles since 1959. Today i will post about the founder

of one of the world's mightiest motor corporations. Meet Mr. Soichiro Honda. He was born in

Hamamatsu, Japan in 1906. His father owned a blacksmith's shop and repaired bicycles as a

sideline at that time. When he as a teenager, Soichiro Honda was practiced and apprenticed

to a car repair shop in Tokyo, but his business was slack as there were few cars in the city

at that time. However, this changed after the devastation of the 1923 earthquake. The

Japanese government decided to invest in mechanised mass transit and so lucky Mr. Honda saw

at that opportunity when he realised his services in heavy demand.

Partnering for Success.

His partner, Mr. Takeo Fujisawa looked after the commercial side of  the new enterprise

leaving Mr. Honda free to design and test. They worked out of a tiny rented factory, often

going for months without engaging in serious business discussions, each having total faith

in the other's ability to handle his own domain. They worked like this for almost four

decades, even when the Honda company had established itself as a major multi-national

business. After work hard for seek successfull both of them made decision to retire from

active participation in the company in 1973.

A New Beginning

Not one to give up, Mr. Honda then studied metallurgy, and started a business producing

engine parts. After the devastation of World War 2, Mr Honda revived his business by fitting

was surplus engines to bicycles. The intuitive and innovative former mechanic focused on

designing and manufacturing products which appealed to him, starting with motorcycles. In

1948, the company which was to become a global giant-took root as Japan's post-war economy

took its first bold steps towards expansion.

During this relatively prosperous time, Soichiro Honda embarked on a number of his own

projects, displaying an exceptional gift in technical innovation. He even hand-built racing

cars which notched up a string of victories on the Japanese circuit.

Founding his own business in the 1930s, Soichiro Honda tested his talents behind the wheel

of a racing car, but an accident effectively ended his career as a competitive driver.
