Interesting places to visit.


Do you know where is Bau town in Sarawak?
Let's we look at maps of Sarawak. In the map, we can find a Bau town at south of Sarawak near the Kalimantan, Indonesia. Bau town has a quite interesting places to visit. Top places to visit at Bau town is Tasik Biru, Wind Cave, Fairy Cave, Paku Hotspring, Serikin Village, Bidayuh Culture Village Centre.

Picture 2: Tasik Biru

The Blue Lake, or Tasik Biru, of Bau, really is blue in places. At first glance, it looks like just any other lake, but when you walk over to the side of the lake, its blueness becomes noticeable. Just 1 km from Bau town, the lake has long been a prime attraction of Bau, a small town near Kuching in Sarawak.


Picture 3: Fairy Cave

The Fairy Cave is the largest cave entrance in the Kuching area and is a few minutes away from Wind Cave by coach. Access requires a bit of exertion but is safe and is by way of concrete steps rising about 100 feet with a further set of wooden steps to the main chamber. The roof of the chamber towers above you as you enter through a small side passage. This enormous space was carved out from the rock by the action of water with the stalactites, stalagmites and columns which adorn the chamber having been formed subsequently.


Picture 4: Wind Cave

The Wind Cave is a dramatic contrast consisting of multiple river passages through the rock leading to an entrance on the far side of the hill overlooking the Sarawak River. A raised wooden walkway leads through the cave giving a close up view of the bats roosting nearby. As well as the bats there are many cave dwelling insects to spot.

Serikin is a small Dayak Bidayuh village in Kuching Division, Sarawak, Malaysia. The town is located about 15 km from Bau town and 80 km from Kuching city. Kampung Jagoi Serikin is famous for her week-end market to local tourists from Malaya and Sarawak. In the week-end market, you can find numerous items ranging from batik, handicrafts, fish, birds, turtle eggs, herbal products and jamu, electrical items, electronic items, male and female workers, jungle produce and exotic meat. You can enjoy services too, such as reflexology and traditional massage.
